University of Bristol Accomodation

All UK and EU undergraduates receive an offer of accommodation for the first year of study if they apply by 31 July 2016. For international students the deadline is 31 August 2016.  

Accommodation costs range depending on room and facilities selected, check the university website for further guidance on fees.

Each residence has a student-run community organising social and sporting events. Private rented accommodation is available for those looking to live off campus.

University of Bristol History

Established in 1876 as University College, Bristol. The new University of Bristol opened in October 1909 with 288 undergraduates and 400 other students.

Today the university is home to 15,000 undergraduate and 5,000 postgraduate students. A member of the Russell Group, it is also part of the Worldwide Universities Network, a grouping of 18 research-led institutions of international standing.

In addition, 12 Nobel prizes have been awarded to Bristol graduates and members of staff. Sir Winston Churchill was Chancellor of the University of Bristol from 1929 until 1965.
