The University of Warwick Accomodation

All first year students who apply before 31 July are given priority for campus accommodation. On-campus accommodation is not guaranteed.

Over 6,400 campus rooms for the start of the 2016–17 academic year, 2,250 off-campus bed spaces managed by Warwick Accommodation and 151 staff and family houses/flats.

The University of Warwick History

The establishment of the University of Warwick was given approval by the government in 1961 and received its Royal Charter in 1965.

In 1965, the university admitted 450 undergraduates in October 1965. In 2016, the student population stands at 23,570 students, of which 9,317 are postgraduates. Around a third of the student body comes from overseas with over 120 countries represented on campus.

Prominent graduates to come out of Warwick university include musician Sting, actor Stephen Merchant and actress Ruth Jones.
